Unique and impressive reception was the meeting of Mrs. Berisha with the Indian Ambassador in U.S., Meera Shankar, at her residence. Interlocutors praised the figure of Mother Teresa and the fact that Mother Teresa is a bridge between our two nations.
In honor of Washington DC. city, Mrs. Berisha planted a tree in one of the most beautiful parks of this city. At this organized ceremony were representatives of the capital city, diplomats, residents and school students. With a small touching gesture, Mrs. Berisha expressed her emotions by emphasizing that this tree is a symbol of all that aid that the U.S. have given us during many years, and a bridge of friendship linking our nations. Plant as part of the exhibition in honor of Mother Teresa, this tree will be remembered as the "Tree of Mother Teresa." Representatives of the mayor praised the contribution of Mrs. Berisha and the respect she shows to Washington DC.
Mrs. Liri Berisha visit in Washington DC once again reaffirmed the support of the high- level American institutions for the "Mother Theresa" Cultural Foundation, its initiatives and is an opportunity for various cooperation.
