Milan opens the exhibition for Mother Teresa.

Under the support of the Municipality of Milan, Mother Teresa Cultural Foundation opened in the premises of Marino Palace an exhibition entitled "Mother Teresa, A Child named Gonxhe", dedicated to the Albanian humanist. The Exhibition with artifacts, photographs, manuscripts, shows the life of Mother Teresa from childhood, her Albanian origin, to her Mission in India and worldwide. The exhibition is a journey into the life of Mother Teresa through the objects belonging to the family and thoughts and writings that she has left behind. Through objects, clothing, jewelry is reflected Mother Teresa's childhood as well as the Albanian tradition. "


Letizzia Moratti, Mayor of Milan, appreciated the cooperation with Mother Teresa Cultural Foundation, for the coronation at Milan of an important cultural initiative such as the opening of the exhibition in honor of this important figure to all mankind that also represents the best values of Albanian people. Mrs. Berisha expressed her gratitude to Lettizia Moratti, Mayor of the Municipality of Milan, for the support given at the opening of the exhibition, dedicated to one of the most prominent Albanian figures, Mother Teresa. Specifically, Mrs. Berisha said: "Albania has passed a long and difficult isolation, but God blessed it by sending such a great missionary, that with her faith, devotion, sacrifice showed that suffering, pain, poverty in the world, can be alleviated only by love. I am convinced that every visitor on every side of the world will be able to remember not only the carpet on which she prayed, but even hundreds of thousands of sick children and those needing help. "


On the other side Mrs. Moratti praised the deepest connection that Mother Teresa kept for Albania, as its country of origin. Moratti also expressed her thanks to Mrs. Liri Berisha for organize this exhibition, which as she appraised, was inaugurated in the United Nations and Washington. "We are here to present an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to a symbol figure of our era that is Mother Teresa of Calcutta.


Mother Teresa, born in Albania, has always maintained a deep connection with her land and is one of the symbols of generosity, courage, admiration which in our era we can see and admire seeking with humility, given the fact of the extraordinary the weakest, the most humble. I give thanks in particular to Mrs. Berisha, because through her we have the opportunity to have this extraordinary exhibition that after being inaugurated at the United Nations and Washington opens to Milan. So we are proud to have had here in Milan this exhibition so important and so meaningful, "- said Moratti.
