Mother Teresa Exhibition in Estonia
With an invitation of Mr. Rain Rosimannus, Chairman of the Estonia - Albania Parliamentary Group, Mrs. Liri Berisha, President of "Mother Teresa" Cultural Foundation, held on 15-16 November a visit to the Estonian capital, Tallinn.
The visit aimed at opening the exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Mother Teresa, the Albanian humanist. The exhibition opened in one of the most prestigious premises of the Parliament of Estonia, was attended by Mrs. Ene Ergma , Speaker of Parliament, Mrs. Keith Pentus Deputy Speaker of Parliament, representatives of parliamentary groups, lawmakers, Ambassadors, representatives of religious communities in Estonia as well as friends and invitees.
Mrs. Ene Ergma, Speaker of Estonian Parliament, opened the ceremony, and during her speech she congratulated Mrs. Liri Berisha for opening this exhibition in Estonia and also emphasized among other things that Mother Teresa is a prominent figure who belongs not only to Albania but to the whole world too.
During her speech, Mrs. Berisha thanked the representatives of Estonian Parliament
for their support at the opening of this exhibition, and all the Participants in the exhibition, saying that Mother Teresa represents and carries the best human values of the Albanian nation and it makes us feel proud of her Albanian origin.
Chairman of Estonia-Albania Parliamentary Group, welcomed the exhibition as well as Mr. Philippe Jourdan, representative of Apostolic Administration of Estonia. During her visit to Estonia, Mrs. Berisha met with Speaker of Parliament, which was impressed by the rich culture of the Albanian part of which is Mother Teresa and her family. Deputy Speaker of the Parliament hosted a dinner in the premised of the Parliament, which was attended by representatives of the whole parliamentary groups, among others they discussed for joint developments between the two countries. Also Deputy Speaker of Parliament congratulated Mrs. Berisha for the rapid economic and tourism development.
Later, Mrs. Berisha was received from the Director General of Political Department of
Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who expressed satisfaction and congratulated her for the visa liberalization.
Also, during her visit to Estonia, Mrs. Berisha, visited Children Estonian Hospital
where she was introduced with the services offered in all wards of this hospital.
